In the end of 2018 average vacancy rate in Częstochowa shopping centres reached 6.7%, i.e. nearly 1% lower than the level measured in the middle of the previous year. The reason for the decline is the lease of several units in the Galeria Jurajska. The largest vacant unit in Częstochowa has been recorded in M1 (formerly a Praktiker store), currently under negotiations with a new tenant. A big vacant unit (a former sports store) is located in Tesco. Among new tenants in Częstochowa’s shopping centres it is worth mentioning the KiK store in Auchan Poczesna as well as the Pepco in the Galeria Jurajska.
